Johnnie Walker- The Man who walked around the globe.

Here is a story! And a true story about the young kid named John, who was a local farm boy but his is a special one who had a spark inside him and vision to see future.

One day Johnnie went for a walk, this walk began with the death of his father in 1918 when he was just 14 years old, brave thing to see in front of your eyes.

This was the time when young boys are sent to the fields, mines, miles, but the small kid Johnnie was smart enough to be lucky, his father’s farm where he was raised was sold and helped the kid to have a grocery shop. Big responsibility awaits for the greatest desired.

Now at the age of 14 Johnnie have the shop in Kilmarnock, with his name on the door John Walker. At that point in time, all the grocery stores were preserved in their small area but that was inconsistent.

Johnnie wants more he tried to join all different malts together by giving his consumers unique and exclusive products. That way of business quickly developed into a commercial proposition and also a very profitable one.

There is no bigger change in the market this quickly transformed into an industry and Johnnie was the first in this journey not to start the industry but to connecting the Swedish hearts through the service.

Soon the two sons Robert and Alexander join him in this path. The walkers were the biggest brand in this rapidly growing industry and they were unstoppable.  

The journey was just begun but they were walking like kings with a great future ahead, 19th century they bought a farmed distillery at Cardho, lock stock and sell. They were consistent and more promising sellers giving silky single malt. The thing where no other blender can put their hands on only with garnering and ensuring exclusive items.

But Alexander was not happy to become Scotland’s biggest blender, like father like son both are visionary. He convinced Glasgow’s captains to be an agent for him and drove and sell the whiskey in his father’s name across the globe.

In 1860 they started to sell in a square bottle with a label of exactly 24 degrees. Everyone says that this is not a big deal just a style but it's not and square bottle means less breakage and the diagonal label show larger size and in the result of combining both these were part of every shelf. One of these might be in your shelf as well.

The bottle became an icon and the rich liquid it contains was traveling all around the globe. The reason for this was Alexander stubborn, visionary, with marvelous personality, what else do u need to send the master blend across the globe.

It was the turn of George and Alexander II to join their grandfather on his journey. They were the active walkers in the 20th century and they have created an iconic Red Label and Black Label and persuaded tom brown the best sketch artist of his time to draw a walking man in the napkin and thus a grocers boy became an Edwardian dandy.

1920 it was the time when Johnnie Walker has already walk through 120 countries. After that, he was everywhere, the time of dark era of was, each and every calibration, liberalization, post-liberalization, it has witnessed everything with singers, writers, story writers and also the won many awards for its quality with the royal warrant by King George V.

No going back after that by 20th-century Red Label and Black label are joined by green Label, Gold Label and grandest of them all Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

By the start of the 21st century it wasn’t just world’s biggest whiskey brand but a symbol of progress, the brand’s “keep walking” tagline was adopted by the democracy protesters and world’s all the writers, poets, sociologists, economist and in the voice of the speakers.

Johnnie Walker who was the small farm boy grocers has done all through the passion and the spark match with his intelligence and the hunger for more.

200 years and Johnnie Walker still walking and it is not showing any sign of stopping.
